Anker Schiffahrt signs contract extension with UPM-Kymmene

Anker Schiffahrt will again primarily handle pulp for UPM-Kymmene at the Emskai for several years and deliver it to national and international customers and the UPM Nordland Papier GmbH mill in Dörpen as required. Anker Schiffahrt acts as shipbroker for all pulp imports, as well as stevedore on board and stevedore. In addition, the company partly arranges on-carriage by barge, rail and truck as well as container stuffing.

By signing the contract, the two companies are continuing their cooperation, which has existed since 1983. "We can look back on more than 35 years of very good and trustful partnership, the contract award in the tender underlines this", says Jörg Conrad, owner and CEO of the Leschaco Group and Managing Director of Anker Schiffahrts-Gesellschaft mbH.
